Healing the Mother Wound

Isaiah the Prophet is featured throughout the season of Advent. He was profound as prophet and purveyor of hope. It is in the Prophet Isaiah that the Lord says of the Suffering Servant: “By his wounds you are healed.”

There are none in this life who bear no wounds, Jesus and Mary included. But there is hope to be found for us; ironically, in the wounds of Christ. There are Father wounds and Mother wounds. There are inherited and received wounds and there are self-inflicted wounds. From Adam and Eve through Jesus and Mary to the present time there is hope for us. We will examine the Source of healing, and how best to access this.
