Launch Into Deep Water: How to Catch a Fisherman

In the gospel story of the great catch of fish, Jesus’ command to Peter to “launch into deep water” is a challenge to all of us. It is especially true when we are being summoned by God to “go deeper” into a relationship with him. As it did for Peter, it sometimes means taking a risk, walking out of our comfort zones and into the unknown. We will consider what this command means for us and how we might reconsider this “fish tale” in light of deepening our prayer and spiritual lives.
