
Rev. Msgr. Stephen P. McHenry, Ph.D.
Monsignor McHenry is a priest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. He was ordained in 1973. He served in parish ministry for over thirty-five years and in the educational ministry for about fifteen years, both as a teacher of Religion in Catholic High Schools and six years in central administration in the Office of Catholic Education.He holds a Masters in Divinity degree from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, a Masters in Philosophical Studies from Villanova University (Pope Leo XIV Alma Mater) and a Doctorate in Sacramental Theology from Fordham University in New York. He was named a Monsignor in April of 1998 by Pope John Paul II.He was an Adjunct Professor at Saint Charles Seminary for twenty years, ten of which as Professor of Homiletics. He loves to preach and enjoys using stories as the Master Himself often did. He has served on a variety of Boards over the years, Independence Blue Cross Caring Foundation Board, Marian Homes, Wissahickon Education Opportunity Foundation, Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary Board of Trustees for eight years.He was named Pastor Emeritus of Saint Anthony of Padua parish in Ambler, Pa after serving as pastor there for thirty-two years. Presently he has been doing retreat work for Priests, Deacons and Lay Men and Women; Forty Hours Retreats; and Parish Missions.
